AI does the reading, extraction and drafting. Deterministic rules check completeness and consistency. Every line traces back to the page it came from, and nothing is issued, submitted or awarded without a person approving it.
Where the rates come from
Asterisk combines our own pricing database with your historical estimates, rate tables and supplier quotes to price materials and bought-out equipment. Labour, erection and subcontract values come from your rate tables, not from the model.

Historical estimates, rate books, supplier lists and your cost breakdown structure are loaded as they are, in Excel, PDF or ERP exports, into a knowledge layer that retrieves by structure and by meaning, so past projects inform new ones and your estimating standards are applied consistently.
Xero is connected today; SAP integration is available for enterprise deployments.
A pilot covers one scoped workflow: one FEED package, one tender, or one commodity class. It runs six weeks and has your team reviewing every output. Expansion follows from there.
Security
Each customer runs in an isolated tenant. Data is stored in the EU or your chosen region, with model inference routed through in-region providers. Your documents are not used to train our providers’ models. Melious does not log prompt or response content; its upstream providers may keep short-lived operational logs. Retention terms are defined for each deployment.
Contractor bids, supplier pricing and consultant estimates stay inside your tenant and never inform another customer’s output. Every extraction, edit and approval is logged.
Available as multi-tenant cloud or single-tenant private cloud. A GDPR Article 28 data processing agreement is available on request.
Provider certifications and privacy commitments apply to their covered services. Asterisk’s application controls and customer deployment are managed separately.

Parametric Systems Inc. was founded by three founders with backgrounds in process-plant engineering, industrial cost estimation and machine learning, and is backed by EWOR.
The team works from Madrid and Dubai. Asterisk is deployed in pilots with industrial groups exceeding $1B in revenue across three verticals, on both the owner and contractor side.
